                        Even More Success Stories

Ladies and Gentlemen:
Eating the way I am (1700 cal breakfast and 1100 cal dinner) losing weight.  I save the yogurt and cottage cheese for my evening meal since I seem to gain weight when I eat a large meal at the end of the day.  I eat the dinner at lunch and that really works for me.  By allowing your customers to customize their eating patterns, you encourage healthy eating.  I have lost about 10 pounds in 4 weeks.  All the other diet plans were too structured and asked for a monthly fee.  I feel I am intelligent enough to know what I need.

Once again, thanks for the delicious food (I'm still having a difficult time with my vegetables but I'm getting better).

Sincerely,

Dear Diet Gourmet,

I've thought of trying Diet Gourmet for ages - if Id known how delicious the food is (not to mention how easy it is to eat this way) I would have done it much sooner.  The meals are very flavorful and appealing.  I wish you were in New York too, where I spend part of the year.  My friends there are jealous!

Hi Donna,

I would be very pleased for you to use these comments, if you start posting them on your website. I feel so lucky to have something like Diet Gourmet here in Houston. Friends from out of town are jealous!!! I never have been much of a cook, and what little I did still left me concerned about the nutritional aspects. I am a big believer that good nutrition makes for a long life, so it's wonderful that I can eat well now, and no longer be concerned that I am not following good nutrition standards. I know that years ago I discovered that 'low calorie' food doesn't necessarily mean healthy, and it's been frustrating over the years wondering what I wasn't being told about prepared foods. But I feel confident now that I am eating right. One of my coworkers, Debbie Sterner, recently tried a week's worth of Diet Gourmet. I have been out of town the last week, and haven't heard if she decided to continue, but when I left she had gotten her first order and loved it. She said she had gotten to where she just didn't know what to do anymore for meals. Like me, she works all day, and doesn't have time to plan out really sensible eating. She's one of the people who has been eyeing my food during our staff meetings at work. My boss has been eyeing my food too, and said she wants to get her boyfriend interested. I work in communications/pr at my job, and I know that satisfied customers are our best advertising. And when I am really impressed with something that is well done, I like to let people know. It still boggles my mind how you can prepare all this food for so many people, and make it all work! It's quite amazing ...... Thanks, Brandon

Diet Gourmet is one of the best things to ever happen to me!

Short version: It works!

Long version: As an almost 60-year old grandma who blew her last vacation with her teenage grandson by not being able to walk more than 100 feet without having to rest, I decided that I would not have that happen again. I weighed 352.5 pounds and decided it was diet or die. Knowing my propensity for failing on just about anything (long-term), I began looking into weight loss surgery, but knew it could take months and months to get to that day, so to prove to myself I was serious, I started a "starvation" type diet (800 calories a day). I managed to take off 15 or 20 pounds before my doctor threw a hissy fit and said I was not eating enough calories and that it was very unhealthy and that I could be screwing up my metabolism. So I increased my calories and shortly thereafter a friend at work told me about your service. I tried a few lunches and dinners and they were great, so I decided to just ea! t your food 3 times a day, 7 days! a week until my surgery was scheduled. After all, any weight I could lose before surgery would make my recovery chances during and after surgery much better. Besides, I thought, it can be a little expensive to keep on forever. That was the end of September 2003.

Fast forward six months to March 2004... I have continued my 3 meals a day of DG food at the 1100 calorie level (supplemented by popcorn, celery/carrot sticks, and Blue Bunny ice cream bars to the tune of between 1600 and 1800 calories a day), and have the following to report: My weight was 352.5 when I started, about 335 when I started DG, and I am now 276.5 for a total loss of 76 pounds! My blood pressure (with medication) was 154/90 and on DG it's down to 125/70 My fasting glucose (with medication) was between 137 and 160, and on DG it's between 90 and 110 My cholesterol (with medication) ranged between 167 and 180, with acceptable LDL/HDL levels, but since DG it's down to 137, with perfect LDL/HDL numbers

I hear people saying all the time that if they had a cook like Oprah they could lose weight too. Well, I'm putting my money where my mouth is, and have decided that the $140+ I spend on DG each week is a small price to pay for improved health like this--and the weight loss is just a bonus!  Thanks so much... I feel like your service has in all ways literally been a lifesaver!

PS By the way, I canceled my appointment to have surgery! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
